| 2005 Mustang Exterior |
This rough and tough Mustang's steel skin forces people's eyes to gaze upon it. The obvious homage to the horse's early days was pulled off to excellent standards. Although the "heritage styling" idea that the Thunderbird was produced with worked as much as a stale potato chip, it fit the Mustang perfectly.
Ford is bringing along a few other companies in its tribute to the earlier days of automobiles. Dodge and Chrysler with their big displacement Magnum, 300C and its soon to be Charger. Chevy with the idea of a new Camaro to be styled with much thought of its late 60s models. Also, Pontiac with their horrible renewal of the GTO.
The crisp, edgy lines add power, strength and aggressiveness to the look of the car. The headlights have a basic round shape to them as all of the muscle cars (or most cars at the time for that matter) did. A mustang emblem rides from right to left across the grill. On the GT, two large foglights fill in some of the space between the headlights.
The fenders slope upwards quickly in the front and then level out a little bit towards the middle of the car. The middle section of the car stays pretty modern looking. The roof and pillars stay looking a little bit like the `94 to `04 Mustangs. The doors look similar to the `99 to `04 models, except the side scoop no longer exists and it has been replaced with a bulge this time around. Going back into the a** of the horse,
there's large taillights that much resemble the first Mustangs . A medium-sized cap in the exact middle of the rear of the car features either a horse or the letters "GT". As always, the Mustang comes with different packages. The standard V-6 gets 16" painted cast aluminum wheels, while the Premium V-6 gets 16" bright-machined aluminum wheels. Both the standard and premium GTs come with 17" painted cast aluminum wheels. There is an option for $195
to get 17" bright-machined aluminum wheels. *Other options can be found at the Ford Fleet site and the pricing press release page at the bottom of this page.*

- When I said, "...to the look of the car." after saying, "The crisp, edgy lines add power, strength and aggressiveness...", I was trying to make sure that no one that hates domestic sports cars misunderstood and thought that the car's "crisp, edgy lines" actually did make the car faster.
