| Mustang Firing Order and Spark Plug Location |
Below are the firing orders for 5.0L, 4.6L, 3.8L, and 2.3L late model Mustangs. Remember to be very careful when checking your firing order because the
ignition system on your car runs on very high voltage. Do not remove spark plug wires from the distributor or spark plugs while the engine is running.
Firing order sequences:
V8's 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8
V6's 1-4-2-5-3-6
2.3L 1-3-4-2
