Mustang Racing Technologies (MRT) has unveiled their 2006 Ford Mustang Convertible show car for the 2005 SEMA show. Here is what the beauty is equipped with.
Engine: Since this car started out as a standard Ford Mustang Convertible, MRT wanted to add some power to it. For this they went with a twin turbo setup putting out 7 psi of boost. To further add power they added an intercooler and custom tune by SCT.
Suspension: The suspension department consists of adjustable HR coil over shocks/springs, along with BMR adjustable drag links and panard bar.
Brakes: The brakes used are Stainless Steel Brake Corp 8 piston V8 Calipers and slotted rotors up front, and single piston calipers and slotted rotors out back.
Interior: For the interior MRT went to Sparco who took the stock seats, added extra padding and bolstering, and wrapped them in leather. To add to the overall custom look of the car they went with a dual tone red and gray leather. As for the rest of the interior a custom shift knob by MRT was added and a Woodview Carbon Fiber kit covers the dash.
Exterior: The exterior was enhanced with two custom grills, a dual snorkel hood, a custom spoiler, tail panel black out treatment and custom taillight accents. The entire exterior was then painted a custom black cherry color.
Wheels/Tires: 20" Foose wheels, and PZero 275/40ZR tires at the rear and 245/45ZR tires at the front really set this car apart.
Audio System: The audio/video system consists of 6 monitors, 2 each in the sunvisors, 2 each in the headrests, one in the head unit in the dash and one in the trunk lid. It plays standard CD’s MP3's and DVD's. Included as an option is the backup camera mounted on the rear license plate bracket. The amps and speakers are Rockford-Fosgate with over 1000 watts powering 3 subwoofers and 8 speakers. Custom vinyl wrapped fiberglass speaker and amp enclosures really give this system a unique appearance.
