Differences Between the 2003-2004 GT and Cobra
*These are differences on the Cobra that were not on the GT*
Engine
This year SVT came through with a huge change for the Mustang Cobra. It replaced it's previous engine with an Eaton supercharged DOHC 4.6L that received new cylinder heads, Manley forged "H-beam" connecting rods, forged pistons similar to those in the SVT F-150 Lightning, and an aluminum flywheel similar to the 2000 SVT Mustang Cobra R's that pumps out an astounding 390 horsepower! This new engine was also mated to a totally unique (to the Mustang) TTC T-56 6-speed manual transmission.
