1965 Ford Mustang Fastback
1965 Ford Mustang Fastback

Lot: 369

The muscle car market is hotter than ever right now, and anything Shelby is at the forefront as you might expect. Of course, this means that owning a real '65 Shelby is extremely difficult because they are hard to come by and value are skyrocketing well over $100,000. So, a recreation makes a lot of sense and is a fun way to own a Shelby without mortgaging the house. The car you see here is presented in classic Rangoon Red with white stripes for the spectacular, racy look of the originals. It presents extremely well with fastidiously-painted stripes, immaculate engine compartment, and a very crisp black interior with center console. It has many correct details like the fiberglass hood with center scoop and pins, side scoops, cut-away rear valance with chrome trumpet exhaust tips, blacked out grill, painted roll cage, Shelby high-mounted tachometer, Shelby fuel cap, Cobra valve covers, and American Torque-thrust mags like the race cars would have had. The engine is a 289 V8 with a performance exhaust that will have anyone dreaming of Trans Am racing and rubbing fenders with Camaros.
