1969 Mustang GT Fastback
1969 Mustang GT Fastback

Lot: 973

This car has recently undergone an extensive 3 year nut and bolt restoration to concourse standards with just 30 miles since completion in 2006. Every single component has been re-done, re-furbished, restored, re-plated or replaced. Sold new in Los Angeles, California in August of 1969, this car has spent it's entire existence in dry Sunny Southern California. The car was purchased in 2003 out of a garage in Moorpark, California after being parked as a father and son project in 90's. The car is very highly optioned and very rare for a 1969 model. Of the 300,000 Mustangs produced that year only 4,065 were delivered with the GT option and that was for all 3 body styles. In comparison, 72,455 Mach I Sportsroofs were built that same year. The GT nameplate ended that year and would not reappear until Ford brought back the option in 1982. This was also the last year the 390ci FE Big Block engine was offered in a Mustang. This car retains all of it's Factory components as verified by the Marti report and documented with the Original Build Sheet. It is equipped with the 390ci Big Block engine, 4-speed Toploader Wide Ratio Transmission, 9 inch Posi-Traction rear end, GT Equipment package, Fold down rear seat, Clock, Tachometer, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, AM Radio, Tinted Glass, Rocker Moldings and 5 Goodyear Polyglas tires on steel style wheels.
