This car is in the Shelby 1997 Registry page 944 #01286. Car has a factory Build Sheet and a Carroll Shelby autograph on the glovebox. This car was last painted original Acapulco Blue color in 1978. The original police interceptor engine was replaced with a late dated '68 428 Cobra Jet that was built by a Ford Motorsports engineer who had access to developmental and Shelby Racing parts. This engine has been documented and balanced and blueprinted. Block, heads, rods and exhaust manifolds are CJ/SCJ components. Bored 20 over with TRW forged pistons and a comp solid lifter cam with an IUB crank all balanced with finest rings and bearings completing this professionally prepared engine. Holley double pumper carb, 4-speed transmission, 3:50 rear end and Goodyear tires on 10-spoke wheels. Frame-on restoration car and garage king. Don't let this car's good looks deceive you.
