Other rare options: 1 of 6 with AM/FM radio, air conditioning delete, tilt and break-sway steering, taillight section grille, space saver spare tire, black and aluminum Shelby GT Interior with map light, center console and fold down rear seat. It also has power steering as well as power front disc brakes. The Marti Report verifies the option combination that makes this the only one Ford ever produced. This individual car was purchased by the second owner in 1968 in Sunnyvale, CA, at Sunnyvale Chrysler Dodge and was stored in Palo Alto and then Stockton, CA, until it was unveiled in 2006. Under 72,000 original miles. Regardless, the engine and transmission were completely gone through and rebuilt less then 1,000 miles ago. Never wrecked. Original sheet metal. Inspected and Certified by the Mustang Ranch in Santa Clara, CA. This pristine California car is superbly clean and original thus it required minor restoration, which was completed in 2007. Experts agree the second owner has maintained the integrity of the vehicle. Some of the items noteworthy to that regard are an original front ball joint still intact, numbers demonstrating the original factory power steering ram, Holley Carburetor, engine block, heads and rear end. Even the factory paint and over spray are still visible on the rear leaf springs and undercarriage signifying low miles as high miles or in climate conditions sand-blast the paint off.
