1968 Mustang GT
1968 Mustang GT

Lot: 912.1

Bought off the 2nd owner, the proverbial "little old lady" who owned her since 1972. I waited 5 years to find one this clean to build for my own. A very straight, super clean and rust-free California fastback. Completely gone through from bumper to bumper less than 9,000 miles ago so now it is better than original with modern technology like the latest in suspension, shocks, electronic ignition, overdrive, "shorty" headers, blue lamp tachometer and instrument cluster, seats and engine advances etc. Yet with "old school" classic GT fastback looks. 347 Stroker engine with a 5-speed, 3.70 posi-traction, 9" traction lock rear end and road race suspension. Dynoed at almost 400hp, with a roller cam, electronic ignition, low gears and a 5th gear for freeway cruising she has the best of both worlds - realistic street horsepower that will out accelerate 99% of the cars on the road with great reliability, engine purr and cruising comfortable drive ability. She has power steering, power brakes, a very nice stereo system, map light, center console, sound deadening insulation, bucket seats that hold you in around corners while passing the latest in "sports cars" and a custom red and black color scheme interior that looks factory to the untrained eye. She took me 5 years to find and 3 years to build with much love, which money cannot replace. I just completed her in '07.
