1970 Mustang Boss 429 at Barrett Jackson

1970 Mustang Boss 429 at Barrett Jackson

Lot: 1283.1

One of 500 Boss 429's built in 1970. Restored to factory specs by skilled craftsmen that take pride in their cars. Not only does this have a matching numbers engine, but all of the items on the car are dated correctly. This car was done back to original factory specs, possibly being slightly over restored because they never took this much time when they went down the assemble line. The correct colors and sheen are on this car, the overspray on the bottom of the car, the chaulk marks and correct trim tags. Everything has been gone through to make sure all electrical items work correctly. When you are looking for the top Mustang to add to your collection, the Boss 429 is always a top choice. We have the Kevin Marti Report, the Build Sheet, the Window Sticker and both original Ford shipping invoices one to Kar Kraft and then to Granite Motors in Granite Falls MN. The paint is base coat clear coat and all the door, fender, hood and deck lid gaps have been fit very precisely. We had this car inspected by Bob Perkins and judged by him and we recieved a Concours Trailered Gold through the MCA with Bob being the judge. Everything in the interior is new and correct. The gauges were sent out and the plastic is rechromed and the gauges recalibrated. The clock and radio were also sent out and restored. The engine was sent out and dynoed before being installed in the car to make sure it ran properly and there were no oil leaks. The dyno sheet came back with 462hp. The tranny was also ran on a machine to make sure it shifts and goes through the gears properly. Look over this car carefully, it is top of the line.
