At the time of this writing this vehicle is not officially on the Barrett Jackson car list. Word about this vehicle was received on 1/15/2010 where it supposedly appeared on the car list for a short time and then was removed. Whether that is a sign that somebody at Barrett Jackson jumped the gun or that the car is no longer going to be sold is unclear.
According to Jalopnik.com the 2011 Mustang GT has been chosen as the official pace car for the 2010 Daytona 500. The car will be treated with a custom Daytona 500 red paint scheme, Ford Racing suspension system, special interior upgrades, and uniquely painted wheels. The winning bidder will get to see his vehicle pace the Daytona 500 on February 14th. Word is that this will be the first time a Ford paces the field of the Daytona 500 in 40 years!
