For the 30th year of the Mustang production, Ford released an all new car and was bestowed the honor of pacing for the Indianapolis 500. A special Jack Roush built Cobra convertible was driven by Parnelli Jones at the race and Ford produced 1,000 special edition replica convertibles for collectors lucky enough to get one. Under the hood is an exclusive 5.0L V8 making 240hp and mated to a 5-speed manual. Exclusive front bumper and fog lamps, rear wing, alloy wheels, Cobra badges and official Indianapolis Motor Speedway badge all set the Cobra apart from the run of the mill Mustang. The full replica graphics kit came with each car to be applied by the dealer. The example seen here is a two owner car and a collectors dream.
