| Red Mist Ford Mustang Debuts As Revved Up Star Of Movie Kick-Ass |
Not all good guys wear capes and hunt bad guys and in fact, sometimes they have four wheels. From the makers of jaw dropping movie cars and out-of-the-box customization projects, Galpin Auto Sports is proud to announce its latest creation, ‘Red Mist', will make its first appearance in the highly talked about movie 'Kick-Ass' in theatres nationwide today.
Galpin Autosports Manager, Steve Carpenter connected with Director Matthew Vaughn at the end of 2008 when his team came into Galpin to scope out the best superhero ride. Immediately, Carpenter jumped at the chance to get his team's creative juices flowing and create a supercharged kick-ass 2008 Ford Mustang GT. The team worked diligently to make sure the modified, star-studded vehicle was nothing but original for the flick.
Bringing the traditional Ford Mustang GT to life meant more to Galpin than just coating a custom paintjob with boss paint stripes. The team outfitted the car with Lamborghini-style doors, custom race-inspired two-tone leather seats and red LED mood lighting. In addition, two nitrous oxide tanks with remote capabilities purge from the hood to create a smoke-filled ambiance for ‘Red Mist.'
"This is not a movie car shell, Red Mist is a fully functional Mustang and fantastic to drive," says President of Galpin Auto Sports, Beau Boeckmann. "We had one hell of a good time building and creating the ‘Red Mist' Mustang."
