| 2011 Mustang GT Run 11.8 In The Quarter Mile |
We knew the 2011 Mustang GT, with its new 5.0L powerplant was potent, but never did we think it would be this good. Evolution Performance out of Aston, PA was able to get one on the dyno and the dragstrip and they've come away with spectacular results. How does 11.8 seconds in the quarter mile sound? Running the stock 19" wheels and tires Evolution was able to muster a very respectable 12.61 @ 107 mph. Then after installing a set of Bogart Racing wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radial tires in the rear and skinnies up front the crew at Evolution got the 2011 Mustang GT to run an amazing 11.82 @ 118 mph!!! As for the dyno results the 2011 GT produced 405 rear wheel horsepower, 10 more ponies than Edmund's pre-production Mustang GT made during their dyno tests earlier this year!
