| Boss 302 Mustang Limited To Just 7,000 Units Over Two Years? |
Ever since the 2012 Mustang Boss 302 was unveiled last month at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway various tidbits about the car have been slowly leaking out onto the net. Why, just yesterday we found out the details of the Boss 302 dealer allocation program. Now, if the listing for a new book in the Borders online book store is to be believed, key information about the all new Boss 302 Mustang may have been exposed.
According to the description of a book titled "Boss Mustang: The Return of the Baddest Mustang of All Time", which is set to be published next April, Ford will only be producing 8,000 Boss 302 Mustangs over two years. Of those 8,000 units only 7,000 will be of the street variant with the rest be 302R race cars. That means that there will only be 3,500 Boss Mustangs built for 2012, and another 3,500 for 2013. Unfortunately there is no word what percentage of those cars will be Laguna Seca special edition models.
