| Geiger Cars Unleashes The 2011 Mustang Compressor |
German auto tuner Geiger Cars is well known for its love of taking American muscle cars and turning them into something truly unique. So it was just a matter of time before they got their hands on the new 5.0L Mustang GT and got to work. Today they unveiled the results of all their hard work, the Geiger 2011 Mustang Compressor, featuring 497 supercharged horsepower!
Although Geiger didn't go into complete detail about the car, what we do know is that the Geiger 2011 Mustang Compressor features a 2.3L twin screw supercharger that creates 7 lbs of boost bumping the otherwise stock 5.0L from 412 horsepower and 390 ft/lbs to 497 hp at 6,400 rpms and 467 ft/lbs of torque at 4,200 rpms. Other upgrades include ultra lightweight 20" OZ Ultraleggera wheels wrapped in 285/30 (rear) and 245/35 (front) high performance tires. To make use of all that extra power and sticky rubber Geiger removed the Mustangs top speed governor (155 mph stock) allowing the car to reach its full potential of 170 mph!
Geiger's press release was a little sketchy on the price stating that the base vehicle was 42,900 euros ($59,879 US), the "performance increase" was 12,990 euros ($18,131), wheels are 5,190 euros ($7,244), and the "sport chassis" is 1,899 euros ($2,650). There was no word on US availability.
