Early yesterday morning we received a tip that a member of The Mustang Source forums had posted inside information pertaining to the price of the 2012 Boss 302 Mustang. At the time we unsure whether to believe the reported prices but thankfully Autoblog was able to get in touch with a Ford Motor Company representative this morning who confirmed it! You heard right, the Boss 302 pricing is finally outed!
Word is that the 2012 Boss 302 will start at $40,995 including destination and delivery charges. A Recaro seat and Torsen differential package will tack on another $1,995. A "Boss 302 Accessory Package", which is speculated to consist of a special Boss 302 car cover and floor mats, will be $475. While the Boss 302 is available in five colors, only Yellow Blaze Tri-Coat Yellow Metallic was listed at an additional cost of $495. Want a racecar with plates? The Boss 302 Laguna Seca package will cost you an extra $6995 ($47,990) though you have to wonder how much the dealers will mark up this limited edition model.
