| Hennessey Venom 600R GT500 Dyno'd |
What happens when you give world renown Dodge Viper tuner, John Hennessey, a 2011 Shelby GT500 to play with? How about a venomous 605+ horsepower super snake! In this video the 2011 Hennessey Venom 600R is put to the test on a dyno to see what kind of power it really makes. According to Hennessey, the 600R creates 605 hp and 590 lb/ft of torque thanks to an upgraded supercharger pulley, stainless exhaust system, high flow induction system, and ecm recalibration. However, as the video proves, those numbers may be slightly conservative with the car on the dyno making 525hp at the rear wheels, roughly 615 at the crank! Not excited yet? For those looking for an even bigger bang Hennessey offers 650hp and 750hp versions of the Shelby GT500 as well.
