| Ford Mustang Sales Up In August 2011 |
Well it's time to look at the sales numbers of the Mustang and it's rivals and see how things went last month. Unlike the previous month, in August 2011 the Ford Mustang has experienced a slight increase of sales by 2.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. In August 2011 Ford sold 5,718 Mustangs, just 148 more than the 5,570 units sold in 2010. Camaro sales were also up by 7.9 percent with 6,823 sales in 2011 compared to 6,321 in 2010. And as usual the Chrysler Challenger is at the bottom of the ladder with a 4 percent decrease from August 2010. Amazingly with just 3,159 Challengers sales in August, Chevy was able to sell more than two times as many Camaros as Chrysler sold Challengers!
As for this year's overall leader, so far the Camaro is still leading the pack with 63,255 sales. The Mustang comes in second with 51,564 and the Challenger in third with just 26,829.
