| Mustangs Sales Down For September, Rival Sales Up |
The Big Three released their September 2011 sales figures this morning and while it's rivals experienced gains last month the Ford Mustang is down yet again. In September Ford sold just 5,054 Mustangs which is 12.3 percent less than it sold during the same month of the previous year. That puts the Mustang at a 3.8 percent decrease in overall sales this year with 56,618 cars sold so far.
The Mustang's rivals, on the other hand, have achieved increased sales in September. Chevy sold 6,994 Camaros, a 10.6 percent increase and Chrysler sold 3,328 Challengers, a 6 percent increase. Overall the Camaro is still far ahead of the pack with 70,249 units sold or 13,631 more than the Mustang and an amazing 40,092 more than the Challenger. With just three months left in this year it looks like the Camaro will not only win the sale war again but by a wide margin.
