| Ford Officially Announces Gotta Have It Green At PRI Show |
Just about a week ago we published a report in regards to a leaked photo that shows a 2013 Mustang GT painted in a yet to be revealed bright green paint job which most suspected was the rumored Gotta Have It Green. Well it looks like the rumor was right as Ford officially revealed its plans to make Gotta Have It Green available on some 2013 Mustang models. Check out the full press release below.
The team from Ford Racing Performance Parts is celebrating the rich racing history of Ford Motor Company at this year's Performance Racing Industry Show in Orlando, Fla. While Ford Racing's 110th Anniversary theme greets visitors to the display, the featured vehicle is a 2013 Mustang GT loaded with Ford Racing Performance Parts, which are on the shelf and ready to install.
The '13 Mustang GT Premium that served as the base for the Performance Parts special is a show-stopper. It's painted in the new factory blend color Gotta Have It Green, and sports 19-inch Black Track Pack wheels and a Ford Racing front splitter.
"We wanted something to grab your attention," said George Goddu, business manager of Ford Racing Performance Group. "If this 2013 Mustang doesn't make you stop and look, nothing will. We've loaded this car with a long list of Ford Racing parts that are available now, even before you can get a car in this color."
Added to the potent 5.0-liter V-8 is a Ford Racing 624-hp supercharger, quad exhaust, aluminum radiator, engine oil cooler, blue coil covers and a few dress-up caps for good measure.
The handling has been upgraded with a Ford Racing Handling Pack that includes shocks and struts from Dynamic Suspensions, one-inch lowering springs, front and rear anti-roll bars, a front strut upgrade and Ford Racing jounce bumpers.
The green Mustang GT's 6-speed manual transmission is enhanced with a Ford Racing manual transmission cooler air scoop. For additional stopping power a Ford Racing Brembo brake kit was added, along with brake lines and a brake duct kit.
The package was completed with the 19-inch wheels and a Ford Racing front splitter. Gotta Have It Green is coming to '13 Mustang models and will be available soon. The Ford Racing Performance Parts are available now.
