Ford Racing Announces Sealed Coyote 5.0L Mustang Crate Engine
Ford Racing is at it yet again, expanding on its line of high performance crate engines with a new sealed version of the Coyote 5.0L designed for spec racing. The sealed Coyote 5.0L V8 crate engine, part number M-6007-M50S, was designed specifically for spec racing in the NMRA's new Coyote Stock racing class. In NMRA Coyote Stock all cars are required to run this sealed engine and a spec engine computer. The result is a heads up racing class which focuses on car setup and driver ability rather than costly race engines. What differentiates this engine from the standard Coyote crate motor are the seals placed on it from the factory. By sealing certain fasteners racers cannot modify the engine's internals, resulting in a fair heads up racing environment. The sealed Coyote crate engine carries an MSRP of $7099.
