| 2013 Shelby GT500 Mustang Convertible Spotted |
If you've been following some of the larger automotive sites recently you may have heard the rumor going around that the convertible version of the 2013 Shelby GT500 Mustang may make its first public appearance at the Detroit Auto Show next week. While we aren't certain the rumor is true what we do know for sure is that there is at least one 2013 GT500 convertible running around the mean streets of Detroit. Autoblog posted a few pics of the car wearing a white paint job with blue strips and a black canvas top. Although the front end of the car isn't quite telling, the redesigned taillights are a dead giveaway that its definitely the 2013 model.
The drop top version of the 2013 Shelby GT500 is expected to be packing the same 650 horsepower supercharged 5.8L V8 as the coupe. The only question is can the convertible still break that magical 200mph barrier?
