1967 proved that the Mustang would become a true muscle machine. It had a new design and was ready for a good drag race. The car was longer and wider, giving it an even tougher look to it. The fastback now went all the way to the rear of the car. The engines were all the same, except a new addition; a 390 cubic inch V-8 that came with 320hp that came with dual exhaust. Also, Shelby took this larger engine bay and had their ways with it, adding a 428 cubic inch police interceptor motor giving out 355hp into their own pony, the G.T. 500.
