1975 Mustangs continued where 1974 Mustangs left off. Ford went on with the Mustang II design and had no reason to stop. The previous year's model sold about 3 times more than 1973's Stang, even with the large drop in horsepower and engine size. But this time around, Ford added a 302 V-8 motor to the Mustang II lineup for those who wanted some extra V-8 kick that was missing in 1974. Unfortunately, this big V-8 only supplied 140 horsepower, not the 300 horsepower muscle car guys would love to see again. Of course, at this time, a large motor that produced a ton of power was extremely rare...REMEMBER...this is the time when the government (and Ralph Nader)shoved in their 2 cents (or millions) and stopped these amazing muscle cars from getting the amazing performance they had given in the past.
