1979 introduced a new generation (the third) of Mustangs that would lead to the full revival of the big and tough appearance reminiscent of the late 60s/early 70s Mustangs, even though the actual 1979 models didn't look all that strong. With basically the same engines along with the addition of 2 extras, this model wasn't much changed when it came to the main source of power. 1979 also incorporated a horrible small turbocharged motor that have been noted as having many problems. On the outside, the changes are more than obvious. The car was redesigned front to back.
