This concept car was introduced at the 1999 Las Vegas Specialty Equipment Market Show (SEMA). Under the hood there's a 5.0L 4-Valve V-8 making 415 horsepower. Dan Davis, the director of Ford Racing Technology during the building of the FR500, said he challenged his engineers to build the "ultimate Mustang". How close it actually got to being the "ultimate Mustang" is completely up to you. Either way the numbers are pretty vibrant: 4.6 seconds from 0 to 60, 12.7 in the quarter-mile, and a top speed up around 175 MPH.
