Hey don't knock the cheapo tires. I know a guy who used to drive his 11 second street/strip car around on some really cheap tires. You wouldnt believe how good that car hooked even on junk tires.

Of course if you are looking for a good handling car, then i'd go with a good set of pirelli's but i don't really have any preferences with exact model #'s. Sorry i could be more help, maybe somebody else here can...

Well i think this is one of those topics you could get many different responses, it's like asking if you prefer blondes, redheads or brunettes. I personally have gone through many different tires, and my top choices would be the Bf Goodrich Comp TA's they stick good and you get good value, i don't like goodyear and i find pirellies are good and all, but to costly, i have tried Dunlop Sp sport and like them alot, infact gonna buy 2 more. all depends if you want somthing that's good in all types of road conditions, as soon as there's rain on the road they may not me your choices, cooper cobras are cheap and good in rain i found. overall it's your choice, but if you want great traction, and durability and nice tread design i would get the Comp Ta's zr's

Tires

I like them and the Potenzas and the Toyo Proxes.
I ended up with Goodyear F1s in 255x45x17 on my Bullitt and I love them.
Pretty pricey though.
