Since posting about this Barrett Jackson has announced that they'll also be auctioning off a performance trio.

2008 Shelby GT500KR
First up is lot #1300 which is a brand new 2008 Shelby GT500 KR. Not only will it be the first GT500 KR sold, but it'll also be offered with a new "segment exclusive" feature that will be unveiled during the auction.

2009 Corvette ZR1
The second portion of the performance trio will be a brand new 2009 Corvette ZR1 (aka blue devil). Chevrolet presents lot #1316 as the "First Retailable Unit Built". However it is sold without warranty and only on a bill of sale.

2008 Challenger SRT8
And finally lot #1331 is a 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8. The winning bidder will receive the very first '08 SRT8 to roll off the production line. The odd thing about this auction is that it doesn't state whether a prototype of the car will be in attendance. Furthermore it states that the official debut of this car is in February which would make one believe it won't be at Barrett Jackson. Hopefully we'll get to see more than those teaser images Dodge has released thus far.

This picture does not do this car justice. Saw it on the block last night, and it was amazing. I know they have critical lighting and all, but this car absolutely popped....
