2006 Saleen Mustang Information

I think they got something wrong. As I recall, the 05 base Saleen went for around 36 or 37K......not 29. That would be beyond rediculous for an automaker/modifier to up the price on a model by 12K and only give the customers an extra 5hp for their efforts. MuscularMustangs.com might want to recheck their facts. We'll put it this way, I HOPE they got that wrong. Personally, I think Saleen is gouging his potential buyers with this line of pricing. Com'on, paying over 50 grand for a mustang that isn't even as fast as the 40K GT500? That's out there. I can take my stock 05 GT and tune it up way past 430 hp, put the Saleen body kit, suspension, and exhaust and still have spent less than it would have cost me for the 281SC. Just crazy in my opinion.

You are right, the base price of the S281 was $39K....that was a typo
BTW They are upping the hp 5hp over last years saleen model, which is 30hp over the Mustang GT, and for the extra money you are getting much more than just the extra 30hp. Whether it's worth it or not is up the buyer.
