Might be nice in black without the rear spoiler and hood scoop, I guess.
Wish they had tweeked the motor, though.

It's a little boring to me. I'd like to see it in some of the other available colors before making a judgement. I would have like to seen it come with a few small engine "tweaks" to pump it up a few horsepower.

Here is some more info on the 2007 California Special

The following is required to get the GT/CS pacakge:

* Premium array GT Coupe (140A) or Convertible (180A).
* Interior Upgrade Package

Features:

* Unique front and rear fascia combination including:
* Front
* Larger air intake
* Integrated chin spoiler
* 1.5 inch lower ride height than Mustang GT

* Rear
* Race car style diffuser look
* Reduced rear ‘tuck-in’ design

* Unique “California Special” bodyside scoops
* Unique “GT/CS” bodyside stripes
* Bright rolled dual exhaust tips
o 18-inch polished aluminum 5-spoke wheels (64W)
o Black with Dove or Black with Parchment interior trim
o Black leather seats w/contrasting Cal Special Dove or Parchment GT Leather inserts
* ‘Mustang’ badged floor mats
* Shown with optional GT Appearance Package 54G:
* Hood Scoop
* Pony emblem engine cover
* Available in Redfire Metallic, Performance White, Vista Blue Metallic or Black

Not available with :

* Premier Trim with Color Accent Package (68B)
* Sport Appearance Package with Color Accent (18M)

***Arrives late summer '06

Yeah, for another $1,800 they could have tweeked the motor a bit but, at only 4,000 units some folks will buy it to collect it.
Its a mostly good looking, lowered Mustang GT.
Why not?
Most of us will never be able to get a Shelby 500 and if/when they come out with a 350, we probably won`t be able to touch one of those either......at least not as new cars.
It`ll be interesting to see what else they have up their sleeve.
Another Mach.....or Boss...............or, how about a 500KR?

It's a nice little idea for not much more money, but it is only there to keep interest in the Mustang I think. Something to keep the hype over the Mustang continuing on. Brings you back to old times...quite a while before I was born in fact.
