|Steeda Mustang wins the American Iron Series Championship
A 2005 Ford Mustang packed with performance parts from Steeda Autosports has taken the NASA American Iron Series championship. With eleven wins this season driver Robin Burnett destroyed the competition. Despite four inches of snow the day before, Burnett qualified on the pole, and lead every lap of the race to take the win at the season opener at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Ever since that day he has monopolized the field at just about every event taking twelve pole positions, eleven race wins, one second place, and two third place finishes. Talk about dominance!
According to the Steeda Autosports website with his win at Putnam Park Burnett took the 2005 NASA American Iron Class Championship, finishing over 125 points ahead of his nearest competitor. Here is what Steeda President Dario Orlando had to say about the championship win "We are very excited about the total performance of the red 21 Steeda Mustang. We salute Robin Burnett and his crew chief, John Moore on a fantastic year. The Mustang proved to be a reliable, winning, development car for our 2005 Steeda suspension parts, the very same ones our customers can bolt on their 2005-06 Mustangs"
