|FR500CJ Productin Begins
The next chapter of the legendary Ford Mustang saga began this past Thursday as the first production FR500CJ Cobra Jet Mustang rolled off the production line at the Roush Industries complex in Livonia., MI.
Brian Wolfe, Director of Ford Racing Technology was on hand to give the keys of the first FR500CJ off the production line to the first buyer Brent Hajek of Ames, Oklahoma. Brent, the owner of Hajek Motorsports, actually bought the first ten FR500CJ's and has plans to use four of them at the NHRA Winter Nationals in Pomona.
Although Ford is officially planning on producing just 50 of these beasts there are actually 51 if you include the prototype. Ford, in conjunction with Barrett Jackson, has plans to auction off the prototype this January to help fight Juvenile Diabetes.
