Relax folks, I dont care what Motor Trend says. They are a great bunch of ppl and very knowledgeable about new cars, and showing pics, but sorry- when it comes to testing them out, they stink. I dont care if its a stick or an auto, if the driver isnt that great, or not paying attention, not a perfect launch etc, then the times arent gonna be that great either. There are different variables to consider as well.

My point, for example:

Road and Track April 2005 Issue: (Various S197 models, 5 or 6 in total tested)

GT-R concept, Saleen S281, Steeda Q, V6 convertible, V8 GT STOCK.

S197 GT STOCK
0-60 - 4.9 seconds
1/4 mi - 13.5 @ 102.4

Saleen S281
0-60 - 5.2 seconds
1/4 mi - 13.7 @ 103.8

GT-R Concept
0-60 - 5.0 seconds
1/4 mi - 13.6 @ 104.2

Forget the 2nd two if you find it hard to believe. But realize that the V8 GT STOCK IS in fact CAPABLE of 0-60 4.9 seconds, and 1/4 of 13.5 seconds.
