89 wind shield wipers

my blinkers or wipers wont work i ran a test light on the two plugs that run to the wiper motor and the one on the left side didnt light and on my buddys car both plugs light up... i need help

actually both have power running to them i tested them again do u think its the wiper motor or the blinker switch

Thats hard to say. Did both the signals and wipers stop working at the same time?

You say you have power to the wiper motor right? Did you check for ground? Usually when the wipers stop working the motor is the problem but since your signals stopped working too I'd assume its something else.

the signals did not work before the wipers quit what do u think could be wrong with my signals

OK, since the signals and wipers stopped working at different times and since you have power going to the wiper motor then it is most likely that the wiper motor is the problem.

As for the signals it could be a bad flasher or switch. Do the lights come on at all? Or do they just not blink? If they come on and don't blink its probably the flasher.

Then its probably either the switch or a wiring problem. You checked the fuses right?

i put a new wiper motor on the car they still dont work so is there a relay or a certain wire that controls the flashers and wipers or is it the steering column switch my bright lights is the only thing that works on the column
