Need to fix power rear window

My passenger side rear window on my 1990 Convertable seems to have come off the gear. Any one have suggestions on fixing it?

Re: Need to fix power rear window

Usually it's just a matter of replacing the motor but the only way to find out is by pulling it apart and seeing what is up. I've never done a rear window motor myself but it shouldn't be too hard. On the front motor I think you have to drill out a rivet to get the motor out. Local auto parts store should be able to order one, otherwise 5.0 restoration parts supply should have what you need.

Re: Need to fix power rear window

Oh ok, I'm trying to picture it in my mind. I think there is a roller (for lack of a better term) that rolls in a guide track. More than likely that is worn out.

Edit: I just looked in my haynes manual but didn't see anything about the window motors. How they passed that over is beyond me.
