intake manifold ??

ok looking at the 5.0 HO intake on my 1991 mustang and in a 1991 cougar the runners are shorter on the cougar would that work on my mustang? i am also thinking about getting to send it out and get ported as well. please let me know

Sure, it would work. But prolly would be a decrease in HP. Go with an explorer intake, or better yet the Cobra or aftermarket Edlebrock, Holly, or Trickflow. Also think about where your going with future mods, as these intakes work better when matched up to the heads and camshaft.

ok i got a "ford racing cobra intake" from a dealer on ebay. the upper intake has no casting number only a stamped number to light to make out. the lower has no casting number and is stamped with made in china. it came in a ford racing box but you can find them or order them. how do i know if this is the real deal of if i just got suckered in to buying a knock off?

What does it look like? I haven't heard of there being cobra intake knock offs but you never know.

Here's what the cobra intake should look like. The plaque on the top may say something like Ford Motorsport or something similar.



On the other hand if the intake looks like the one below then it likely is a Chinese knock off. It's been known for years that Professional Products sells a knock off of the Edelbrock Performer intake manifold.

yeah it looks just like that. it just has a ford racing plaque around ahe throttle body opening.
