some pictures of last years makeover

Last year my car got hit while parked at a gas station. The timimg of the insurance check and tax returns led to an $8000 exterior makeover. How I dont know but trust me its all there. This year my plans are for some interior mods and a complete coilover kit with bigger brakes up front with a new motor following next year. It always sounds easy when your just saying it, paying for it is a different story though. Also going to get it registerd here in a couple of weeks. If your interested in the shinoda cars you can check em out at teamshinoda.com. Mine will be on there in a couple of months after I pay the registration fee.

Yea, that's the way it usually is, you don't realize how much you spent until your done and then you think where did it go.

Looks excellent!

I dont think its as fast as it looks. Ive had the car for about 12 years so it might just be that im used to it though. It doesnt have alot of mods cam, headers, off hpipe, underdrive pulleys, electric exhaust cut outs, 4.10 ring and pinion, pro auburn differential, and 31 spline axles. Its also an automatic with a shift kit. Thats why I went with the 4.10s to try to help me off the line. The motor has about 160,000 on it so theres really no need in building it up till I can get a new motor in. I have plans for a new motor but I also have kids so you know how that goes.

You'd be surprised how long those motors last. I had a '92 GT that had 263K+ miles on it when I sold it. (still running strong) But I agree that if you're going through all the trouble putting heads, etc on it you might as well do up the short block while you're in there.

Good luck with it!

I love the color combo of your car. What color is it? I am trying to get a similar color for my car but possibly the chameleon/pearlescent paint that changes color in the light. That should only cost me about $10,000

The paint code is just GT2. Its the factory color looks teal during the day and blueish at night but all the black on the hood and sideskirts is just a flat black where the side stripes are decals from team shinoda.
