I am having a problem with my 91 gt 5.0. It cranks and runs great, but when it gets hot it shuts off. It will not start/run until it cools down. I have been told this could be the fuel pump. The mechanic has had it for 2 days and cannot find anything wrong with it so far. Of course he cannot get it to shut off after it gets hot, go figure. Has anyone had this problem before?

Could be the fuel pump, though I think it's more likely to be the ignition module on the distributor. Unfortunately its impossible to say unless the car stops running again.
