88FOXLX That explains it............looks like I have speed density and can get the CAI for the 88 BBK

quick5pnt0 It's simple, you can't find the MAF meter on your car because there isn't one

The 5.0L Mustang only started coming with MAF meters in 1989 ('88 on california cars if I remember correctly) so if you want to put cold air induction kit on your car you'll either need to convert to MAF or get a kit that fits on what's known as a "speed density" car.

BTW I looked up BBK cold air kits to see if they made one for your car and according to the link below it will work on 87-93 Mustangs, but you might want to call them just to be sure it'll work on a non MAF car. ... cts_id/806

Wheres the MAF

I have looked everywhere and to the life of me canít locate the MAF on my 88 LX..... There is a older crappy air cleaner on it that I'm going to replace with a BBK CAI next week and wanted to get the stuff cleaned up and ready for the new part. From the Throttle body to the air cleaner there is not any prevalent wires and I donít see any random wires not hooked up. I have many questions because I'm new to the 5.0 motor but I am mechanically smart enough to follow simple instructions. Thanks
