agree to all you guys and Ive had simular issue on mine and yes the mash filter on the pump inside the fuel tank is prolly plugged also fuel filter would be great to replace at this time clean the wires on the maf sensor for sure change your air filter if you havent already also check voltage on your tps should be between .95-.98v at koeo position also clean the throtle body with some throtle body cleaner to check if your maf is bad there are few voltage tests the signal should be between 4.5v-5.0v but an easy way to check is just to disconnect the maf and see if you have a idle change even go for a drive and see if you experiance any difference if no difference your MAF is bad cleaning might help but may need to be replaced.

Really sounds fuel related. I had the same problem, ended up replacing the filter inside the gas tank.

I had the same issue with my '93. I had a bad TPS, adjusted new one to .95, and my MAF was giving me problems. The MAF needs to be cleaned or replaced.

bsh0117 It could be a fuel problem. Dirty or clogged filter. Not a big enough pump. I had a similar problem in my 87 GT and it turned out that my alternator was bad.

Zach9393 .052 is Ford recommended, but as you've stated, I've heard peole running .035 and everything in them.

93 Mustang LX Hesitation Problem
When starting the car in the morning I must let it warm up or It really hesitates in 1st gear. After about 5 minutes or so it is fine. Also under hard exceleration - push up the Rpm it will drop back to 3000 & struggle? Under normal acceleration it runs fine?
What is the proper spark plug gap for ford Motorcraft Plugs? Some say .035 - .045 - .050 - .054?
(93 5.0 with bbk cold air, underdrive pulleys, shorty headers, h-pipe, stock everything else?
