Why not just order a colder plug in the same brand and style you are using already? Usually if you goto a parts store with your plug part number and tell them you need it one range colder they can get it for you and might even have it in stock. This way you will have a colder firing plug, but still the platinum durability.

spark plugs

I am buying new plugs for my 86 5.0 and need some suggestions.Someone told me that the platnum plugs i have in there right now burn to hot and i need something cooler. Any ideas on types or brands?
