2001 taillight bulb

Hi, how do you change the taillight bulb for a 2001 mustang? My friend and I looked everywhere but it seems like we need to take the bumper out??

Look a little more carefully on the backside of the tail lights, inside the trunk.
The whole unit unscrews.

It was late last night so, here are more details.

In the trunk compartment, pry out the plastic retaining clips that hold the rear finishing panel.

Detatch the retaining nuts holding the tail light assembly, then pull the assembly outward to get to the bulbs.

Twist the bulb socket a quarter turn counterclockwise and remove assembly from the housing.

The defective bulb can then be pulled straight out and replaced.

Reverse to put it all back together.
